Tom Wilson is an internationally recognized thought leader in human resources (HR) management and retained executive search, with almost three decades of experience. At Frederickson Partners, he leads the executive search practice, and has worked closely with CEOs and Boards of leading biotechnology, high-tech, and Fortune 500 companies to determine HR requirements and complete key HR leadership searches, including work with Alphabet, Doximity, Intel, Northwestern Mutual, StockX, Qualtrics, ServiceNow, Samsung, and CAA. A Fulbright Scholar with an M.A. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. from Penn State, Tom started his professional career in retained executive search with Sullivan & Company, now a part of Heidrick & Struggles. He then spent eight years with Bank of America in global talent acquisition and HR leadership positions, including leading all European talent acquisition out of London for four years.
When Tom was transferred to San Francisco, he was recruited by Valerie Frederickson to lead global talent acquisition and HR management for a technology strategy professional services firm, Trianz. Trianz is recognized by Forbes as one of the best management consulting firms in the world and by Gartner in their magic quadrant. He grew their global workforce and created Trianz University, among other achievements. Before joining Frederickson, Tom held senior executive roles in global talent acquisition and human resources for Standard Chartered Bank, headquartered in London, where he also focused on executive assessments, and with RBC Capital Markets in New York, Toronto, and London, where he and his family lived in New York and he led recruitment for this Top 10 investment bank. Tom is married to Barbara, a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry.
