Founded in 1968, Abode Communities is a Los Angeles organization that provides affordable, socially conscious community housing. The need has been especially acute at a time when L.A. faced a severe housing shortage due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The organization’s portfolio includes 43 residential communities, home to some 7,100 low-income individuals, families, seniors, and people with special needs.

Frederickson worked with Abode Communities, providing nonprofit executive search services to recruit a Vice President of Talent and Culture to support the agency’s strategy for growth. The executive brought extensive past experience in HR and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) leadership, specifically in mission-based and educational organizations.
