GI Partners, Leading Private Investment Firm, Hires Tina Linger as Vice President of Human Resources

GI Partners, a private investment firm that finances private equity, real estate and data infrastructure strategies, has appointed Tina Linger as Vice President of Human Resources (HR). GI Partners worked with Frederickson Partners on the executive search.

In the new role, Linger will serve as the primary HR contact for individuals and teams across the organization, enabling the HR function to be highly responsive to a wide range of employee issues, programs and concerns. Reporting to Managing Director David Smolen, Linger will partner with a diverse set of internal stakeholders to lead and modernize the HR function as GI Partners continues to grow and expand.

Linger brings tenured experience to GI Partners, having held HR executive leadership roles within finance and legal organizations. She recently served as Director of HR at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, where she directed talent management, including talent acquisition, professional development, performance management and employee relations. She also spearheaded skill enhancement programs and led annual performance and merit increase processes. Prior to Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, Linger served as the global Head of HR at Kobre & Kim, and held additional HR leadership positions at companies including Tishman Speyer, Third Point LLC and Bear Stearns Asset Management. Linger holds a Master of Arts in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University.
