Datavant, Largest U.S. Health Data Ecosystem, Hires Senior People Business Partner and People Business Partner

Datavant, a company that connects healthcare data to eliminate the silos of information that hold back innovative medical research and improved patient care, welcomes Shannon Walden as Senior People Business Partner (SPBP) and Ryan Bugler as People Business Partner (PBP). Datavant partnered with Frederickson Partners on the executive search.

In her role as SPBP, Shannon will build the next generation of the organization’s talent and support Datavant’s transformation and post-merger integration. She will report to the Chief People Officer, Holly May.

Shannon joins Datavant from NerdWallet, where she served as Head of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP). There she was responsible for recruiting, leading and managing the HRBP team in support of execution against the People Team strategy and key priorities in driving towards business objectives. Prior to NerdWallet, Shannon worked at Clear Capital, providing strategic thought partnership and assessing organizational needs in order to develop and deliver strategic people initiatives. She brings impressive HR leadership experience from KeepTruckin, Square, Fitbit, LeapFrog, Robert Half International, CBS Interactive, Wells Fargo Bank, Oracle Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from California State University.

In his role as PBP, Ryan will serve as a trusted thought partner to managers on all things People strategy. He will be responsible for building the next generation of the organization’s talent and supporting Datavant’s transformation and post-merger integration. Ryan will report to Michael Cleary.

Ryan joins Datavant from Amagi Corporation where he served as the Global HRBP. In this role, he worked as a strategic HR leader in a remote start-up environment for business units including sales, marketing, content, advertisement, engineering and revenue, comprising 600 employees in 40 countries. Prior to this, he served as an HRBP at Asurion and Wayfair. Ryan holds an M.B.A. from Anderson University and a Bachelor of Arts from St. John’s University.
